Mission: Decide which sites to work on.
Of the photos that we took the previous day, we were each requested to print out 20 and pin them on the wall. The photo were to be a representation of how we perceived Kwa-Thema. It was quite interesting to see Kwa-Thema through other people’s eyes and though we walked the same path, many elements that I had not seen were brought to my attention. We then sketched out ideas that were strong, perhaps permanent elements that we might use in out interventions.
Through this exercise concepts that are prevalent in Kwa-Thema, even historically could be spotted even today such as some trees that had been left behind during the construction of Kwatema, and perhaps this project is about us bringing to light the spirit in which Kwa-Thema was designed-to be a modern township.
