My mind was occupied with the idea of actually finishing the concrete slab onto which we are to lay our concrete tiles. We commenced inserting backfill into the central space and then compact it. This allows us to have a solid stable surface for the chess board and decreases the amount of cocrete that will need to be poured to fill up the centre. We spent the day preparing the concrete and pouring it into the centre.
